TKS Affiliate Support for Link Building
What's the best way to insert my affiliate link on my website so it looks good and doesn't have those extra characters on the end?
- We must have your affiliate link in the URL that you refer to us in order to track it and pay you commission; not having this link will mean your order credit will not get tracked
- However, most website platforms will let you have the source URL while calling the link something else, this is what you should do if you don't want those extra characters showing up and the link will be more clean looking
For Example: I am running a Wordpress site and let's say my affiliate link is: https://thekinkshop.com/tksaff/1/
I would make my source "URL": https://thekinkshop.com/tksaff/1/
But my "link text" and "link title" might say only say: https://thekinkshop.com
You could also just have the link text and title say something like "Check out The Kink Shop"
As long as when you hover over the link it tells you you are directing to your URL with your full affiliate link, you are in good shape.
